Ruth 3: Ruth at the Threshing Floor

Naomi wants to find rest for Ruth and sends her to the threshing floor where Boaz is winnowing barley. Ruth lies down at his feet and asks him to spread the corner of his garment over her, because he is a near kinsman. Boaz blesses her, calls her a worthy woman, and promises to act, though there is a nearer kinsman. He sends her home with six measures of barley, and Naomi says he will not rest until the matter is settled.
