Jeremiah 14: Can the Sky Give Showers?

In Jeremiah 14 a drought dries up the land. The ground cracks, and even the wild animals have no grass. The people pray, admitting their sin and asking God to help for his name's sake. False prophets promised peace, but God had not sent them. The chapter ends with a prayer that only God can send rain.
