Isaiah 35: The Holy Way

Isaiah described a wonderful change. The wilderness and the dry land would be glad, and the desert would blossom like a rose. Isaiah said to strengthen the weak hands and tell fearful hearts, Be strong! Don't be afraid! because God would come and save them. Then the blind would see, the deaf would hear, the lame would leap like a deer, and the mute would sing. Water would break out in the desert. A highway called The Holy Way would be there, and no lion would be on it. Yahweh's ransomed ones would return to Zion with singing, everlasting joy would be on their heads, and sorrow and sighing would flee away.

Thank You, God, for making me!

Read the verse aloud. Say: God can make a dry desert full of flowers. God can heal people too. In the New Testament, Jesus healed the blind and the deaf (Matthew 11:5). Let's practice saying: God makes things new.
