Genesis 34: Trouble at Shechem

This is a hard chapter. Dinah, Jacob's daughter, went out to visit the women of the land, and Shechem, the prince of the city, took her and dishonored her. Jacob's sons were grieved and angry. Pretending to make an agreement, Simeon and Levi attacked the city, and the brothers plundered it. Jacob rebuked them for bringing trouble on the family. The chapter shows how sin leads to more sin when anger takes revenge.
