Ezekiel 42: Holy and Common

Ezekiel says the man brought him into the outer court to the rooms on the north side. These were long buildings in three stories, with walkways between them, and matching rooms stood on the south side. The man explained that these were holy rooms where the priests who drew near to Yahweh would eat the most holy offerings and keep the grain offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering. When the priests left the holy place, they were to take off the garments in which they ministered, because those garments were holy, and put on other clothes before going out to the people. Then the man measured the whole temple area on the east, north, south, and west sides, five hundred reeds on each side. It had a wall all around, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.
