Deuteronomy 20: Do Not Be Afraid

When Israel goes out to battle, they must not fear great armies, because God goes with them. The priest encourages them, and officers send home men with a new house, a new vineyard, a new bride, or a fearful heart. Israel must offer peace to distant cities first, and during a siege must not cut down fruit trees.
