Deuteronomy 20 · Grade 2
God Goes with You
Read the Story
God said, Someday you may see a big army with many horses. Do not be afraid. I am with you. I brought you out of Egypt.
The priest would say, Do not be scared. God goes with you. Then some men could go home. A man with a new house could go home. A man with new grapes could go home. A man who was afraid could go home too.
God said, First ask for peace. And do not cut down fruit trees. You can eat their fruit.
Memory Verse
“When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses, chariots, and a people more numerous than you, you shall not be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, is with you.”
