Titus 1: Leaders Who Love Good

Titus 1 opens with the name Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, writing to Titus, his true child in the faith. God, who can't lie, promised eternal life before time began. Paul left Titus in Crete to set things in order and appoint elders in every city. An elder must be blameless, not quick to anger or greedy, but welcoming, a lover of good, self-controlled, and holding firmly to God's faithful word. Paul warns about false teachers who say they know God but deny Him by what they do.
