Psalms 123 · Grade 3
Eyes on the Master
Read the Story
Psalm 123 is titled A Song of Ascents. It begins, I lift up my eyes to you, you who sit in the heavens.
Servants watch the hand of their master. A maid watches the hand of her mistress. So our eyes look to Yahweh, our God, until he has mercy on us.
The people pray, Have mercy on us, Yahweh. They have endured much contempt. Proud people mocked them. They bring their hurt to God and wait for his mercy.
Memory Verse
“Have mercy on us, Yahweh, have mercy on us, for we have endured much contempt.”
