Numbers 25: Faithful to God Alone

At Shittim, Israelite men join in Moab's sin and bow down to the false god Baal Peor. God's anger burns, and a plague breaks out. When an Israelite leader openly brings a Midianite woman into the camp, Phinehas the priest acts and the plague stops. God gives Phinehas a covenant of peace and a lasting priesthood.
