Genesis 29: Jacob Meets Rachel

Jacob arrived near Haran and met shepherds at a well. When Rachel came with her father's sheep, Jacob rolled the stone from the well and watered her flock. Laban welcomed him. Jacob loved Rachel and worked seven years for her, and they seemed like a few days. But Laban tricked Jacob by giving him Leah instead, so Jacob worked seven more years for Rachel. The Lord saw that Leah was unloved and gave her sons; with Judah she said, This time I will praise Yahweh.
