  2. How did the angels protect Lot's household? They pulled Lot inside, shut the door, and struck the wicked men with blindness.
  3. How did the men engaged to Lot's daughters respond to his warning? They thought he was joking.
  4. Why did the angels take Lot by the hand? He lingered (was slow), and the Lord was merciful to him.
  5. What happened to Lot's wife? She looked back and became a pillar of salt.

Grade 4Mercy in the Midst of Judgment

  1. Why did God judge Sodom? Its people were very wicked; their sin was great.
  2. How did the angels show God's mercy to Lot? They warned him and, when he hesitated, took his family by the hand and led them out.
  3. Why did God rescue Lot, according to the chapter? Because God remembered Abraham (and was merciful to Lot).
  4. What lesson did Jesus draw from Lot's wife? Don't cling to the world or look back when God calls you to follow Him.

  1. How do Lot's choices in Genesis 13 lead to Genesis 19? He moved toward Sodom, then into it, and became part of its life; now his family was in danger.

  3. According to verse 29, why was Lot rescued? God remembered Abraham (and his prayer).
