Ezekiel 9: A Mark for Those Who Care

The vision continued. Ezekiel says he saw six men come in, and among them a man clothed in linen with a writer's inkhorn by his side. The glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub to the threshold of the house. Yahweh told the man in linen to go through Jerusalem and set a mark on the foreheads of those who sigh and cry over all the abominations done in it. The others were sent to bring judgment on the city, but they were told not to come near anyone with the mark. Ezekiel fell on his face and cried out for the remnant of Israel. God answered that the iniquity of the land was exceedingly great. The man in linen reported that he had done as he was commanded.
