Ezekiel 9 · Grade 3
Those Who Sigh and Cry
Read the Story
The vision went on. Ezekiel saw a man clothed in linen with a writer's inkhorn by his side. The glory of the God of Israel went up to the threshold of the house.
Yahweh told the man in linen to go through the middle of Jerusalem. He was to set a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations done there. These people were sad about the sin in the city.
Judgment was coming to the city, but God said no one should come near anyone with the mark. Ezekiel fell on his face and cried out to God for the remnant of Israel.
Memory Verse
“Yahweh said to him, “Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.””
