Ezekiel 45: Fair Measures

In the vision, God described how the land would be divided. A holy portion would be set apart for Yahweh, with the sanctuary in the middle and land for the priests and Levites. Beside it would be land for the city and for the prince. God told the princes of Israel to stop their violence and plunder, to do justice and righteousness, and to stop taking land from God's people. Everyone was to use just balances and honest measures: a just ephah and a just bath. The people would bring offerings to the prince, and the prince would provide the sacrifices for the feasts, new moons, and Sabbaths. God gave instructions for cleansing the sanctuary at the new year and for keeping the Passover and the feast in the seventh month.
