Ezekiel 25: Words to the Neighbor Nations

Ezekiel's prophecies now turn to the nations around Israel. Ammon had said Aha! when God's sanctuary was profaned and Judah went into exile; they clapped their hands and rejoiced. God said Ammon's land would become pasture for camels and flocks. Moab and Seir said that the house of Judah was like all the nations, as if God's people were nothing special; God would bring judgment on Moab. Edom had taken vengeance on Judah, so God would lay his vengeance on Edom by the hand of his people Israel. The Philistines had acted with ancient hatred, and God would execute great vengeance on them. In each case the goal was the same: they will know that I am Yahweh.
