Exodus 6: God's Promises to Israel

God answered Moses: Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. God reminded Moses that He had appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and made a covenant to give them Canaan. God promised, I will redeem you with an outstretched arm. He also said, I will take you to myself for a people. I will be your God. But the Israelites did not listen because of their anguish and cruel bondage. The chapter lists the families of Reuben, Simeon and Levi, showing the family line of Moses and Aaron.
