Deuteronomy 26: A Basket of Firstfruits

In the land, each family brings the first of its harvest in a basket to God's place. They tell the story of God's faithfulness: my father was a Syrian ready to perish, we were slaves in Egypt, we cried out and God heard, and He brought us to this good land. Then they rejoice with the Levite and the foreigner. Israel and God declare that they belong to each other.
