The Image of God

Name Date

Read the Story

The letter opens with the names Paul and Timothy. They wrote to the saints at Colossae. Paul thanked God for their faith in Christ and their love for all believers. They had learned the good news from Epaphras.

Paul prayed for them all the time. He asked God to fill them with knowledge of His will. He prayed they would please the Lord and bear fruit in every good work. God had rescued them from darkness and brought them into the kingdom of His Son.

Paul said Jesus shows us the God we cannot see. All things were made by Him and for Him. He is before all things. He is the head of the church. Through the cross, God made peace.

Memory Verse

“He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.”
