Acts 5 · Grade 2
Out of Prison
Read the Story
The apostles did many signs. People brought the sick to them. The sick people were healed.
Two people, Ananias and Sapphira, told a lie to God about money. This showed that lying to God is a serious thing.
The high priest put the apostles in prison. But at night an angel opened the doors! He told them to go and speak in the temple.
The leaders told them to stop. Peter said they must obey God. The apostles went on teaching about Jesus every day (Acts 5:42).
Memory Verse
“But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.”
Acts 5:29 (WEB)
