Acts 13: Sent Out by the Spirit

In Antioch, while the church worshiped and fasted, the Holy Spirit set apart Barnabas and Saul for the work he had called them to. They sailed to Cyprus, where the proconsul believed after Paul confronted Elymas the sorcerer. At Antioch of Pisidia Paul preached in the synagogue, retelling Israel's story and proclaiming that God raised Jesus, through whom forgiveness of sins is proclaimed. Many Gentiles rejoiced and believed, but opposition drove the missionaries on, filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
