Acts 13 · Grade 2
Barnabas and Paul Go Out
Read the Story
The church in Antioch was praying. The Holy Spirit said to send Barnabas and Saul to do his work. Saul was also called Paul.
The church prayed for them. Then they sent them out. Barnabas and Paul sailed in a boat to the island of Cyprus.
Later they went to a new city. Paul told the people that God raised Jesus from the dead (Acts 13:30). Almost the whole city came to hear God's word!
Some people did not like the message. But many were glad and believed. The friends were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
Memory Verse
“The disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.”
