2 Chronicles 33: Manasseh Humbles Himself

Manasseh became king at twelve and did great evil. He rebuilt the high places, set up altars to Baal and the stars, and put an idol in God's house. Yahweh spoke, but they did not listen. The Assyrians took Manasseh to Babylon in chains. In his distress he begged Yahweh and humbled himself greatly. God heard him and brought him back. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God. He removed the idols and told Judah to serve Yahweh. His son Amon did evil and did not humble himself.
