A Church That Shined

Name Date

Read the Story

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy wrote to the church in Thessalonica. They thanked God for the church. The people had faith. They worked hard in love. They had hope in Jesus.

The good news came to them with the power of the Holy Spirit. Things were hard, but they had joy. They stopped serving idols and turned to the true God. Now they waited for Jesus to come back from heaven.

Memory Verse

“For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not say anything.”

1 Thessalonians 1:8 (WEB)
