1 Corinthians 7: Each Has a Gift

The Corinthians had written Paul questions about marriage, and in this chapter he answers them. Paul honors marriage as a lifelong commitment in which husband and wife care for one another, and he urges married believers not to separate. He also honors singleness as a gift that frees a person to serve the Lord without distraction. Paul tells believers to remain in the situation in which God called them, because what matters most is keeping God's commandments. Each person has his own gift from God.
