A Great Army
Read the Story
Men came to David even before he was king. Some were from Saul's own tribe, Benjamin. They could use bows and slings with the right hand and the left.
The Spirit came on Amasai. He told David that peace was with him and his helpers, because God helped him. David made them captains.
At Hebron, men from every tribe came to make David king. The men of Issachar understood the times. They all came with one heart. They ate and drank for three days, and there was joy in Israel.
