Song of Solomon 1 · Grade 3
A Song About Love
Read the Story
The Song of songs, which is Solomon's. In Hebrew, saying something twice like this means it is the very best. So this is the best of all songs.
The Song celebrates the love of a husband and wife. God created marriage in the beginning, and He called His creation very good. Love and faithfulness come from God.
The bride asks where the shepherd grazes his flock. She is told, follow the tracks of the sheep. In the New Testament, marriage is a picture of Christ's love for His church. Many Christians read the Song this way too. This is an interpretation, not something the Song says directly.
