Ruth 1 · Grade 2
Where You Go, I Will Go
Read the Story
There was no food in Bethlehem. A man named Elimelech took his wife Naomi and their two sons to the land of Moab. The sons married women named Orpah and Ruth.
Sadly, Elimelech died. Then both sons died too. Naomi heard that God had given food to His people again. She started to go home to Bethlehem.
Naomi said to Orpah and Ruth, Go back to your mothers. Orpah kissed her and went back. But Ruth stayed. Ruth said, Where you go, I will go. Your people will be my people, and your God my God. They came to Bethlehem when the barley harvest began.
Memory Verse
“Ruth said, “Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.”
