Joy and Peace in Believing

Name Date

Read the Story

"Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves." Even Christ did not please himself.

Paul says the Scriptures were written to teach us. They help us keep going. They give us hope. Paul prays that we would agree with each other. Then together we can give glory to God.

"Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God." Paul prays for them. "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit."

Paul says he wants to preach where people have not heard of Christ. He plans to go to Jerusalem with gifts for the poor. Then he hopes to visit Rome on his way to Spain. He asks them to pray for him.

Memory Verse

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
