Psalms 28 · Grade 3
I Am Helped
Read the Story
The title says this psalm is By David. To you, Yahweh, I call. My rock, don't be deaf to me. David lifts up his hands toward God's Most Holy Place. He asks God not to draw him away with the wicked, who speak peace with their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts.
Then David's prayer turns to praise. Blessed be Yahweh, because he has heard the voice of my petitions. Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. With my song I will thank him. David prays, Save your people. Be their shepherd also.
Memory Verse
“Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him.”
