Two Ways to Live
Read the Story
Psalm 1 is the first song in the book of Psalms. It shows two ways to live. The blessed man does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. He does not stand on the path of sinners or sit in the seat of scoffers.
Instead, his delight is in Yahweh's law. He meditates on it day and night. He is like a tree planted by the streams of water. It produces its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.
The wicked are not so. They are like chaff, the dry husks that the wind drives away. They will not stand in the judgment. Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.
Memory Verse
“For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.”
