Philippians 1 · Grade 3
A Good Work in You
Read the Story
The letter starts with the names Paul and Timothy. They were servants of Jesus Christ. They wrote to all the saints at Philippi. Paul thanked God every time he remembered them. He prayed for them with joy.
Paul was sure of something. God began a good work in them, and God would finish it. Paul prayed that their love would grow more and more.
Paul was in chains. But even the palace guard heard about Christ! Other believers became bold to speak God's word. Paul knew he belonged to Jesus whatever happened. He asked the church to stand firm together.
Memory Verse
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
