Numbers 29 · Grade 2
Happy Holy Days
Read the Story
In the fall, God's people had special days. On the first day of the seventh month, they blew trumpets. It was a day to stop work and worship God.
On the tenth day, they did not eat. They told God they were sorry for their sins. It was the Day of Atonement.
On the fifteenth day, a big feast began. It lasted seven days, and then one more day. They gave many gifts to God. It was a happy time to thank God.
Memory Verse
““‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work. You shall keep a feast to Yahweh seven days.”
