Micah 5 · Grade 2
A Ruler from a Small Town
Read the Story
Bethlehem was a small town. But God said a ruler would come from there. He would be a ruler in Israel.
He would care for the people like a shepherd. God would make him strong. He would be great to the ends of the earth. He would be our peace. In the New Testament, Jesus is born in Bethlehem. Christians believe he is this ruler.
Memory Verse
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times.”
