Malachi 1:1 says this is God's word to Israel by Malachi. God said, I have loved you. But the people said, how have you loved us?

God said, a son honors his father. God asked, if I am a father, then where is my honor? The people gave God their worst animals. God wanted their best. God said his name is great in every place. We can give God our best too.
