Luke 19 · Grade 2
Come Down, Zacchaeus!
Read the Story
Zacchaeus was a rich tax collector. He was short. He wanted to see Jesus, but the crowd was in the way. So he climbed a tree!
Jesus stopped under the tree. He said, Zacchaeus, hurry and come down. I will stay at your house today. Zacchaeus hurried down. He was full of joy.
Zacchaeus said he would give half of his things to the poor. He would pay back anyone he cheated. Jesus said He came to look for and save the lost. Later, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a colt (a young animal). People praised God!
Memory Verse
“When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.””
