Job 38 · Grade 3

Out of the Whirlwind

Name Date

Read the Story

At last Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind. He asked, Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge? God said Job had spoken about things he did not understand.

God asked, Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? God asked who shut up the sea and told the waves how far to go. He asked if Job had ever commanded the morning.

God asked about the snow, the hail, the rain, and the stars. He asked, Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God? God made all these things and cares for them.
