Jeremiah 23: The Righteous Branch

In Jeremiah 23 God warns the shepherds, the leaders who scattered his sheep. God promises to gather his flock himself and give them good shepherds. He promises to raise up a righteous Branch from David who will reign wisely. This is his name by which he will be called: Yahweh our righteousness. God also warns against false prophets and says his word is like fire and like a hammer that breaks rock.
