Isaiah 7 · Grade 2
Don't Be Afraid
Read the Story
Two kings came to fight against Jerusalem. King Ahaz was afraid. His heart shook like trees in the wind. God sent Isaiah to him. Isaiah said, Be careful, and keep calm.
God told Ahaz to ask for a sign. Ahaz would not ask. So God gave a sign anyway. A virgin will have a son. His name will be Immanuel. In the New Testament, Matthew 1:23 says this came true when Jesus was born.
Memory Verse
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
