The Oil of Joy

Name Date

Read the Story

"The Lord Yahweh's Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble." He was sent "to bind up the broken hearted." He would set captives free.

He would "comfort all who mourn." He would give "the oil of joy for mourning."

In the New Testament, Jesus read these words in his home town. He said they came true that day (Luke 4:17-21). The speaker sang, "I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh!"
