Isaiah 6 · Grade 3
Isaiah Sees the Lord
Read the Story
In the year that King Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the Lord. He was sitting on a throne, high and lifted up. His train filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings.
They called, "Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!" The house was filled with smoke. Isaiah said, "Woe is me!" He knew he was a man of unclean lips. Then a seraph flew to him with a live coal from the altar. It touched his mouth. His sin was forgiven.
Then Isaiah heard the Lord's voice, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Isaiah said, "Here I am. Send me!" God told him to go and speak to the people.
