Isaiah 47 · Grade 3
Sit in the Dust
Read the Story
God told Babylon, "Come down and sit in the dust." Babylon was proud. God said, "You showed them no mercy."
Babylon said, "I am, and there is no one else besides me." That was very proud. Babylon trusted "the astrologers, the stargazers." But they could not save.
God said, "they are like stubble. The fire will burn them." But God's people have a Savior: "Our Redeemer, Yahweh of Armies is his name."
Memory Verse
“Our Redeemer, Yahweh of Armies is his name, is the Holy One of Israel.”
Isaiah 47:4 (WEB)
