Isaiah 40 · Grade 3
Behold, Your God!
Read the Story
"Comfort, comfort my people," says your God. A voice called, "Prepare the way of Yahweh in the wilderness!" In the New Testament, John the Baptist was this voice (Matthew 3:3).
"The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever." "He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm."
God made the stars and calls each by name. He "doesn't faint. He isn't weary." "He gives power to the weak." Those who wait for Yahweh "will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary."
Memory Verse
“He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.”
Isaiah 40:29 (WEB)
