Isaiah 4 · Grade 3

Cloud by Day, Fire by Night

Name Date

Read the Story

Isaiah 4 brings good news after hard warnings. In that day, Yahweh's branch will be beautiful and glorious. The fruit of the land will be the beauty and glory of the survivors of Israel.

Those who are left in Zion and Jerusalem shall be called holy. The Lord will wash away the filth of the city. Then he will make it clean again.

Yahweh will create a cloud and smoke by day over Mount Zion. By night there will be the shining of a flaming fire. Over all the glory will be a canopy. It will be a shade from the heat. It will be a refuge from storm and from rain.

Memory Verse

“Yahweh will create over the whole habitation of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night, for over all the glory will be a canopy.”
