Isaiah 30 · Grade 3

Quietness and Confidence

Name Date

Read the Story

God's people wanted to run to Egypt for help. But God said, "Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence." They should trust Him and rest.

"Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you." "Blessed are all those who wait for him." When His people cry, "he will answer you."

God promised to guide them. They would hear a voice behind them, "saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.”" God would send rain on their seed, and food would be plenty.

Memory Verse

“For the people will dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. You will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry. When he hears you, he will answer you.”

Take It Home

For families: talk about these together.

  • The people asked prophets to say only nice things. How can you listen to God even when His words are hard?
  • How can you trust God quietly?
