Isaiah 21 · Grade 3
What of the Night?
Read the Story
God said to Isaiah, "Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees." The watchman stood on the watchtower in the daytime. Every night he stayed at his post.
At last he saw riders coming. He said, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon." Babylon's idols were broken. God's word came true.
Someone called out, "Watchman, what of the night?" The watchman said, "The morning comes, and also the night." In Arabia, the people of Tema brought water to the thirsty and bread to those who ran away from battle.
Memory Verse
“The watchman said, “The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire. Come back again.””
