Isaiah 19 · Grade 3
Striking and Healing
Read the Story
God came to Egypt on a swift cloud. The idols of Egypt trembled. Egypt's wise men gave foolish advice, and the Nile became dry.
In that day there would be an altar to Yahweh in the middle of Egypt. The people would cry to Yahweh. He would send them a savior and a defender. Yahweh would strike Egypt, but He would also heal them.
There would be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. Both would worship God. God would say, "Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance."
Memory Verse
“Yahweh will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to Yahweh, and he will be entreated by them, and will heal them.”
Isaiah 19:22 (WEB)
