Isaiah 15 · Grade 3

My Heart Cries Out

Name Date

Read the Story

Isaiah gave a message called the burden of Moab. Moab was a nation east of Israel. In one night, its cities would be brought to nothing.

The people went up to weep. In their streets and on their housetops, everyone wailed. The grass withered, and there was no green thing.

Isaiah said, "My heart cries out for Moab!" Moab was not Israel, but Isaiah still cared. A prophet who loves God also has a heart for others.

Memory Verse

“My heart cries out for Moab! Her nobles flee to Zoar, to Eglath Shelishiyah; for they go up by the ascent of Luhith with weeping; for on the way to Horonaim, they raise up a cry of destruction.”

For families: talk about these together.

  • That land was full of tears. Who could you comfort who is sad this week?
  • How can you care for people who are different?
