Hosea 2 · Grade 3
I Will Betroth You Forever
Read the Story
God's people forgot that He gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil. They gave thanks to the Baals, false gods. God said He would take back His gifts so they would see that they needed Him.
But God did not give up. He said, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her. He would turn the valley of Achor, a place of trouble, into a door of hope.
God said His people would call Him my husband. He would make them safe. He promised to betroth them to Him forever, in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion. Then they would know Yahweh.
Memory Verse
“I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion.”
