Genesis 28: Jacob's Ladder

Isaac blessed Jacob again and sent him to Paddan Aram to find a wife among Rebekah's relatives. On the way, Jacob slept at a place with a stone for a pillow. He dreamed of a stairway reaching to heaven with angels going up and down, and the Lord stood above it and gave Jacob the promises of Abraham, saying, I am with you. Jacob woke, called the place Bethel, which means house of God, and vowed that the Lord would be his God.
